The Sims 4 Wickedwhims Mod

How to install :

If you’re using the Windows Installer version then skip this instruction. Make sure to remove WickedWhims files before using the installer if you had the mod installed manually before. Note that the Windows Installer is not required to install the mod!


- If you have never turned the game on after installation, turn it on and off at least once before any mod installation.

- Open the downloaded mod archive file with an archive manager.

- Open the folder for The Sims 4 Mods (Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods).
- Drag the ‘WickedWhimsMod’ folder from the archive manager application to the opened The Sims 4 Mods folder.

- Turn the game on and open 'Game Options’.

- Open the 'Other’ section and check the 'Enable Custom Content and Mods’ and the 'Script Mods Allowed’ settings.

- Turn the game off and on again

You should know that WickedWhims works when you load the game and unpause the time. A purple notification should appear informing you about the mod.

If you’re missing the 'Resource.cfg’ file in the Mods folder or you suspect it’s invalid - remove it, turn the game on and turn the game off, it should be there again.

Make sure you have not placed the mod files into too many folders. If the files are too deep into folders the game will not be able to find the files.

Installation of S E X animations is exactly the same. Download the animation package, extract it with an archive manager and put the 'PACKAGE’ file to The Sims 4 Mods folder.

Installation Mistakes

The most common mistakes happen to everybody so check them regardless of your pride and computer knowledge.

Please don’t use the installer for Windows on Linux or Mac systems. It’s not designed for it and you don’t need it to install the mod.

1. Files structure of mods is pretty strict and putting mod files into too many folders will cause the game to not find them. If your mods are in a folder that is in a folder that is in a folder that is in a folder, you most likely have to fix that. Don’t do too many folders, the game can’t find the files in them.

2. After every game update, you have to enable mods in settings again and restart the game. Every single time when the game gets updated, all of your mods get disabled. Enable them in settings.

3. Extract downloaded mods. Some of them might need to be in a ZIP or RAR files, but a lot of them require unpacking. Extract them no matter what and if they don’t include a note that you shouldn’t do it, then you probably should do it.

4. Multiple mods versions. If your mods folder is a mess, you probably have the same mod installed multiple times. Having WickedWhims installed twice or more is a huge mistake. Remove everything related to WickedWhims and install it again.

5. Update. Outdated mods are the most common issue when a game update occurs and you might not be even aware of it.
No additional mods are required for WickedWhims to function, but some are needed for the full experience. It’s important to know that WickedWhims doesn’t provide skin details. If you want your sims to have full body details then you need to find and download skin and body replacements.
